One&Only One Za’abeel

Inspiration

The installation draws on the presence of cherry blossoms and the atmosphere of Japanese streetscapes. Fragility is translated into structure, where blooming forms create a sense of lightness within a defined architectural space.

Developed in collaboration with Bergman Design House and Marie Soliman, the concept reflects a balance between nature and precision.

Craftsmanship

Each glass element is formed using fused glass techniques, allowing for layering, translucency and subtle variation. The petals carry light softly, revealing depth and detail without sharp contrast.

The supporting structure is made of cast aluminium, shaped to follow the irregular rhythm of natural growth. Together, glass and metal create a composition that is both delicate and controlled.

Design

Positioned at Level 24 of The Link, in front of Nobu One Za’abeel, the installation defines the arrival experience. It introduces a moment of pause within a dynamic environment, guiding movement through light and form.
