Inside the Royal Mansion at Atlantis The Royal, The Glass Olive Trees celebrate the enduring strength and grace of the olive tree, a timeless symbol of prosperity and peace. Each element reflects the harmony between art, nature and human craft.
Created over the course of a year, the installation consists of 1 700 hand-blown glass pieces in seven shades of green. Each was formed, cut and polished by hand to achieve subtle variations in colour and transparency. Standing nearly four metres tall and weighing 1.3 tonnes, the structure balances precise engineering with the delicacy of Czech glass artistry.
Rooted in symbolism yet realised through innovation, The Glass Olive Trees transform light into a living sculpture. Their shimmering leaves and organic composition bring a sense of calm and permanence to one of the world’s most extraordinary suites.
