The Glass Painting Atelier specialises in artistic painting on glass across three main disciplines. The first is the creation of historical replicas, produced in limited editions for renowned glassmakers such as Moser and Lobmeyr Wien. The second focuses on collaborations for architectural lighting installations, where precious metals are applied to glass components. The third supports artists and designers, offering a full range of painting techniques and facilities for their creative work.

Each project requires exceptional craftsmanship and a deep understanding of glass chemistry. Our painters use finely ground glass pigments and precious metal formulas — including gold and platinum lustres — fired at 560 °C to achieve permanent brilliance and colour depth.

The result is glass that carries both the mark of history and the vitality of modern expression.

Jan Janecký
Head of Glass Painting Atelier

Jan graduated from the Glass School in Nový Bor, where he later founded his own studio. His work spans collaborations with crystal houses such as Moser to the restoration of historic stained glass and bespoke design pieces for contemporary interiors.

Today, his atelier continues to refine traditional glass painting while exploring new approaches for modern architecture. For Jan, painting on glass is about precision and patience — a process where every brushstroke becomes part of the material itself.
